Sports
Sports plays an important role in our day to day life specially for school going children who are the future of our country. So DPSC, Burdwan takes an effective step during the sports programme. This programme is continues for about 2 months in the winter season. Free Primary Teachers and officers in different sectors who are related with DPSC, Burdwan organize this programme with great enthusiasm. Primary students, Junior Basic School students, Madrasah students, Special Children in S.S.K joyously take part in this programme. Initially in GP level this programme is organized with local support mainly with the financial support of Primary teachers. After this, circle organized are started in 58 circles of Burdwan District. The winners of circle sports takes part in Sub-Division sports. Thereafter District Sports and finally state sports meet are conducted every year. Minister, M.L.A & Savadhipati of Z.P, Chairmen of different Municipalities are invited in this sports meet. A souvenier is published every year (Year-2015) (Year-2014) on account of sports. The Govt. of West Bengal, Specially, Directorate of School Education & West Bengal Board of Primary Education totally co-operate and assist the whole sports programme of D.P.S.C, Burdwan.
